In April ICON A5 had a hard landing, when the water came into the cockpit, but no one was injured. Unfortunately some days ago they were not lucky, the seaplane flew for 20 minutes before it crashed, the crew died.
Whatever its cause, the crash will likely prove a significant setback for Icon Aircraft, which has struggled lately with financial and production issues. Last year, it laid off workers and reduced production expectations from 175 aircraft to just 20.
